Broadband Internet Access in Marple

When The Marple Website began campaigning in August 2002 the number of homes that had registered an interest in BT's Broadband service was 52, compared to a trigger level of 400 set by BT. Since then we've helped to persuade a further 348 homes in Marple to register an interest and the trigger level to have our exchange upgraded was reached on 12 April 2003.

Upgrading of the exchange itself usually takes around 8 weeks and BT have published a target date of 2 July 2003 for the service to be available in Marple. To learn more about BT's Broadband service and to find a list of companies who can provide it to you click here.

For those of you with cable, don't forget that you can already get Broadband Internet access from NTL. There are three versions of this presently offered at 128Kbps, 600Kbps and 1Mbps. For more details of NTL's Broadband service click here.
