Sadly the Marple Dog Training Club had to close due to the ill health of Alicia Atherton, who died of terminal cancer in October 2004. We send our best wishes to Alicia's family, especially husband Bill, and add our thanks to those of the countless dogs with well trained owners who must have passed through the club in an astonishing 33 years of dedication to this cause.

He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
