A great evening's entertainment from Marple SkateFest last night, thank you very much to everyone who bought tickets and braved the weather to join us at Hawk Green Cricket Club.
The evening raised a total of £1,066, which was reduced to £983 after expenses (£60 travel for Mama Goose and £23 for a crate of beer for the bands.)
The food raised £140, the raffle £153 and ticket sales + Steve Abbott's silhouettes and sales of Mama Goose CDs contributed the balance of £773.
The list of thank yous is long:
To Hawk Green Cricket Club for providing a great venue free of charge and a crate of beer at cost!
To All Things Nice for coming along and feeding us free of charge and for promoting the event and selling tickets in the Deli / Cafe.
To Lazlo Baby, and especially Dave and Jip Ingham, for playing a key role in organising the event for us, selling ticket and performing on the night.
To Charlie Ingham and Jenny Clark for some great acoustic sets to get the night off to a good start.
To Mama Goose for headlining the night, leaving us wanting more, and for donating sales of CDs to the Skatepark.
To raffle prize contributors: ASDA, who provided a Christmas Hamper; Recon Cycles, who gave a bike helmet, lights and mug and Friends of the Park for a giant Polar Bear.
To Stationery Supplies and Inkbox for selling tickets.
Finally, thank you to everyone in the Skatepark Team who helped with the planning and preparations for the event.
Arthur was there with his camera, so hopefully we'll have some great pictures a little later.
