Does anyone know a good local dressmaker who can do alterations etc. I have tried the local dry cleaners but they say my item needs a lighter machine.

Any help would be welcome!

I would try Sew-Easy on Stockport Road (Opposite Edel Carpets).  I have used them before and they are very good.
