does or can anyone recomend any holiday destination for over the christmas week. it has to be warm and most definatly suitable for children ( youngish)

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote!

Lovely place and the best and upmarket out of the three main resorts in Lanzarote.

I have been twice and cant wait to go back again, there is a fabulous Marina, and all new hotels are five star.  The beaches are nice (especially playa dorada) and the area is clean and very safe.

We have stayed in  apartments (Sun Royal) but my parents have stayed in the hotels there.  Timanfaya palace hotel is very nice.

I would shop around on the internet for the best prices.

Also, if you look on teletext, they have some good offers for the Christmas period.

Many of the tour operators go to the same apartments and hotels, so do some bartering on the telephone, you could save quite a bit of money!
