Yes, it's free to use.

Remains open throughout, as it doesn't have any gate/bar to block night use.

On the subject of Marple station, what arrangements, if any, are made for disabled passengers to get onto the Manchester bound platform if they are unable to cross the bridge?

An intersting point Mr M - apart from when the station is manned you take your risks on crossing the line.  Wheelchair access is only available going to Manchester - maybe it is expected that you do not return having been mugged there thus saving the need to report car crime in the Marple Station car park?

Being serious for a moment Marple scores low on the access side of things.  Have a look at the following link.

'Wheelchair access is only available going to Manchester'

No, it's only available arriving from Manchester, surely?

I stand, sit, lean and lurch corrected - absolutely right Sheffield is the place to go for easy access!

Obviously a semi-senior moment!

Mind you - still can't get back off the station - maybe get off at Strines?
