Went passed today there were workmen inside. Has it been let?
-
The to let sign has been taken down and there is a lot of activity going on inside....the mystery deepens. ;)
-
Someone suggested last night that it's going to be a Subway - that would be a shame :(
-
Anything (even a Subway) is better than letting it stand there boarded up.
-
I was told the Co-op are opening it as their Electrical / Furnishings outlet..
-
You are correct,it is going to be a CO OP White goods outlet, selling electrical items, not very exciting but at least the building will be getting used. :D ;)
-
You beat me to it!!
The building that was formerly of Hanbury's is going to be used as an electrical store e.g. washing machines etc.
I used to shop there during the 80's and I've always said it's a space being wasted up until now.
I wish the store success.
-
Well it's open and it definately looks much better for being an open shop rather than a boarded up place. ;D
-
I am also pleased about the new use of the building, its a bit hard on the eye's being all white inside, but I am sure that with a few wall decorations and features and some floor coverings it will be a really nice shopping experience.
-
Will Be if people use it .nobody in when i passed today .

They havent bothered with a new floor, just thrown some paint around.........rather an odd shop.......think it was done in a rush......
