The surfacing on Church Lane is not good, I think most people will agree: on a bike it's terrible. I've noticed a lot of white paint marking out boxes from which I deduce that some repairs are to be made to bit of the road. Call me a cynic, but I reckon that it's a short-term fix, it will make certain parts better but TBH the whole road needs resurfacing from the roundabout up to the ridge (which was done last year, wasn't it?)
