O'Neals grovers used to sell local honey, unfortunately they no longer do so: apparently the apiary closed when the owner died. Does anyone know of anywhere else close by that sells local honey? Mrs NBT likes honey in her porridge, and since starting to eat local honey we have really noticed that she no longer suffers from Hay Fever in spring

Sure I passed a farm Just on the other side of Compstall the other day that was advertising honey for sale. As your coming out of Compstall near the top of the hill take the right turning as if you was going to the Hare and Hounds pub in Werneth Low and the farm is on the right. Not sure if it's local or not, you'll have to ask.

The health food shop sell honey but I have no idea if they do locally produced honey. Perhaps they'd be worth a try?

There is an organic farm shop on the Chadkirk Industrial Estate - maybe they sell honey produced locally.
