A new section has just been added to the main web site announcing Marple Civic Society's "Great Design Awards" scheme that will run for the next 12 months. The Marple Website will be supporting this campaign and helping to collect public votes in the next phase. There is also a double page spread in the Spring issue of The Review, which should arrive through your letter box soon if not already.

The rules for the Marple Civic Society Design Awards Scheme have been amended:
The qualifying "age" criteria for the Design Awards has been relaxed from the last 5 to the last 10 years. This means that nominated buildings, building renovations, landscapes and public art projects must have been completed after 1 January 2000, rather than 1 January 2005 as originally specified.
This change has been made to enable more buildings or building renovation projects to qualify.
