Each registered user can vote once in the poll for the Civic Society's Building Design Award. The contenders are:
01 - Hawk Green Cricket Club Pavilion
Rhode Field, Upper Hibbert Lane, Marple, nominated by Alan Little, secretary of the club. Traditional design externally, to replace pavilion burned out in 2008. New building contains community meeting room. Views from pavilion verandah 'treasured by local community and envy of visitors.

02 - Compstall cricket club pavilion
Ernocroft Road, Compstall. Nominated by Brian Lever. New building replaced wooden pavilion, opened by Mike Gatting and part funded by English Cricket Board.

03 - Housing development on the former site of Braddock's garage
Oldknow Road, Marple. Nominated by Paul Robinson: "Recognised as well designed homes ... that have contributed to the street scene in Oldknow Road."

04 - Sports Hall, Marple Hall School
Nominated by J Day: "Sympathetically built to fit in beautiful landscape. Excellent for the youth in the school."
