looking at the new photos in the gallery where was the little gem cinema

Roughly in the middle of what is now the newest section of Hibbert Lane, between Church Lane and Stockport Road I think. The attached aerial view from the 70s and present day map help to figure it out.

Was that a small factory of some sort (name began with G, I think) in the 1950s/early 60s? I can't remember a cinema there in my time (we lived on Market Street then). My best friend lived on Ellesmere Ave and the factory was across the top of the avenue.

Pickups engineering I think.Grandalek was further down where the terrace of seventies houses stands.

i was reminded yesterday that grandalek repaired tvs they were before their time with recycling
