My late father told me when I was small that the top of the tower of All Saints church was level with the doorstep of Mellor parish church and another church tower (name escapes me) was level with the doorstep of All Saints.
Has anyone else heard this and is it true?

According to the OS map. Mellor Church is about 215 m above sea level, and All Saints is about 185 m above sea level. So All Saints tower would need to be about 30 metres (c. 100 feet) tall. Anyone know whether it is?
