Title: Man badly beaten up the weekend before last.

I heard that a man had been very badly beaten up the friday before last.
It happened on Church Lane the lower part before the Hatters pub, I was told he was
taken to Hope Hospital. A few people have heard about this but nothing more.
It is so shocking and alot of people are very concerned.Has the culprit been found?

Hi Meredith,

I've moved your topic to the Crime and Disturbance log.

One of our regulars who lives nearby told me that this happened at around 1pm on Sunday morning, 30 January, on Church Lane. I have been advised of the victim's name but I don't think it's appropriate to repeat it here. I was also told that he had gone to Hope Hospital with severe head injuries.

I hope he is on the mend now and the culprit(s) caught. If anyone knows anything about it please get in touch with the police.

I know some people worry about getting involved with the police,  but  they can call crime stoppers anonymously  on 0800 555 111 with any information  if they are at all worried

1pm sunday morning ?

The road was shut from 8am to 11am last Sunday , lots of blood on the floor and a bin bag full of clothes .

I happened to be jogging past just after 8am when they closed it .
