If you drop it into us at Paul Howard on Market Street our tailor can alter it for you - but I'm afraid it wouldn't be while you wait (it would take about a week for it to be ready).

Alternatively, there is a place in Stockport called 'It's A Stitch Up' (20A Princess Street, SK1 1SE - 0161 429 0888) that offer a 1 hour service.  I have no direct experience of their work but I have heard positive feedback from a couple of customers who have used them.  On the price list I have for them (which is a couple of years old) it quotes £12.50 (Shorten Sleeves - Plain) & £16.50 (Shorten Sleeves - Vented)

Hi Mike,

I was just talking to my husband and we didnt know there was a tailoring service at your shop .

Can I ask as a matter of interest , if you bought something from your shop, do you  alter free of charge  for shop purchases  ... reason I ask, is that my husband is a Slaters for this very reason  ?

All new, full price purchases are altered free for Privileged Customers.  It's very easy and free to become a Privileged Customer - simply join our mailing list.

We do charge a small fee for alteration on clothes bought at discounted price (i.e. during the sale).
