I need to 'get someone in' to do some minor internal work on my house including replacing a window ledge, making good a wall and plastering - can anyone give me any reliable recommendations of someone that would be willing to take on this type of work as both of the contacts I had in the past have ceased trading.
Thanks in advance for any help

I'm "bumping" this one as I need someone similar.
I have a series of small jobs which need doing in the house, including making good the plaster and skirting board in the corner of my kitchen, filling a small area of wall where wiring has been installed, sorting out a dripping overflow from the cold water tank in the loft, hanging a wall-mounted electric fire, renovating kitchen units and laying laminate flooring - can I find anyone? Can I h*ll.
Are there no good jacks of all trades anymore?

If you find anyone let me know - still trying!

We have a local company adverting on the web site called Evolution Joinery. It would be worth a call to them to see if they have time to tackle this kind of work - it could depend on how busy they are - I can certainly vouch for them on a honesty / leaving them to get on with it basis. In fact, I have know Trevor since he went to Primary school and his mum and dad live just over the road to me ;)
