I've been a way for a few days and I came back to find a notification from SMBC that a planning request has been made for a 3 bedroomed house and a conversion of an out-building to a dwelling at no 17 Buxton Lane. This is the old farm on the corner of Buxton Lane/Brydges Road. The plans are on view at the library but I haven't had time to go and have a butchers.
Looks as though the old lady's daughters want to knock the house down and cash in.
Seems a shame. More and more old property is disappearing off the Marple map

The old farm house isn't being knocked down, the plans show the site being divided into 3 plots one of them being the original house. The plans can be seen on the SMBC Planning Database (when it works properly):
