Can anyone recommend a mobile car mechanic ? Need to remove and replace the gearbox linkage..

A bit late for Craig's purposes but I can happily recommend Martin at Seven Springs Services in New Mills for car servicing and repairs. I've used him for many years. He isn't "mobile" but very much worth the hassle of getting to New Mills(there's a good caff on the main drag in the town where you can pass the time over coffee and toasted tea cakes).

Very fairly priced, gives sensible advice and goes above and beyond to help you out in a crisis and (for my fellow female drivers) does not treat you like a half-wit.
