Title: The search is on for 2012 Marple Carnival Royalty

The search for this year's Marple Carnival Petals, Rosebuds, Princesses and Queens is now hotting up with the deadline of end February for applications approaching and is now featured on the Marple Website home page: www.marple-uk.com/Marple.htm.

So if a little girl or young lady in your family has ever had a dream of dressing up and being treated like a princess for a whole year, then the Marple Carnival Committee are looking for her!

The age groups are: Petal 3 to 5 years, Rosebud 5 to 7 years, Princess 7 to 10 years, Junior Queen 10 to 13 years and Carnival Queen 13 to 18 years.

Here is a poster that can be put up in schools or clubs to tell everyone about the search.

So if a little boy or young man in your family has ever had a dream of dressing up and being treated like a prince for a whole year, then is the Marple Carnival Committee equally looking for him?

Traditionally we have always had a carnival Queen,I have no problem with a carnival King.Why stop at being a prince?why not contact the committee?

  Thanks for the suggestion we have a Carnival meeting tomorrow night I will bring it up and see what the views of the other committee members are.
