Title: Marple bridge

As reported evening news ,flood defence work starts town street marple bridge next week installing a larger drain don't know if roads closed or not .

22nd April – 20th May: Town Street, Marple Bridge

Work is due to begin on the construction of a new flood alleviation scheme on Town Street, Marple Bridge. This involves the installation of combined kerb drainage blocks along the footway, plus associated pipework under the main carriageway to a new outfall at the Town Street Retaining Wall. The work is due to begin on Monday 22nd April and will last for a period of four weeks. Temporary traffic control measures will be in place during normal working hours which will be removed at the end of each working day.
