Title: Marple 10K Trail Run 2013 [7 September 2013]
Post by: admin on June 02, 2013, 08:11:23 AM
Details are now confirmed and the hugely popular Marple 10K Trail Run organised by Marple's Firefighters will be taking place on:

Saturday 7 September 2013

Entry to the event costs £12.50 and the fantastic news this year is that the money raised by the event will be shared between the Fire Fighters' Charity and the Marple Skate Park Project, which will receive 20% of the proceeds from the 2013 Marple 10K Trail Run. So a very big thank you to Marple's Firefighters for deciding to get behind the Friends of Marple Memorial Park's latest project!

You can collect entry forms from Marple Fire Station or download one here:

There is also a poster here if you can help with the publicity:

Further to Marple Firefighters fantastic decision to support the Skate Park Development Project by donating 20% of the proceeds from this year's Marple 10k Trail Run, we have a sponsor form available for anyone who would like to support the skate park even more by taking part and collecting sponsorship:

Of course if you prefer you can support another good cause, like the Firefighters Charity itself, or anything else of your choice. Here's a sponsor form for the Firefighters Charity too:

Stockport Homes is really getting behind our campaign to raise funds for the Skate Park. They will be fielding 10 runners in the Marple 10k Trail Run who will be collecting sponsorship for our skate park match-funding and will also be organising a tombola to raise funds at the finish line - fantastic support!

Can you run the 10k for us too? Come on, it's your chance to do something for the skate park!

Thank you to Josh & Karen Andrew who dropped off £37 sponsorship for the skatepark last night raised by running in the Marple 10k Trail Run in September. Josh was one of the lads who helped raise £35 at the Marple Hall Review Day on 22 November and also joined us for the bag-packing at the Co-Op and Morrisons, when we raised £928, so he's making a big difference! Can you help like this too?
