I've just come back from the Carnival and despite it being drizzly miserable weather as usual, a lot of people have come from all over to support it and the hard work that goes into it which also brings revenue shops/businesses. The Car parks were full and the streets were full, It's just sad to see the traffic warden slapping on parking tickets onto cars on the Chadwick Street Car Park just now, who were just not parked in the parking spaces, and were not blocking any other cars in, why can't they just let it go just for a few hours? it's once a year not every day! no wonder community carnivals and such events disappear!

Free parking was granted to the Carnival Committee for the Library car park for the day by SMBC. Perhaps those ticketed could appeal and get a sympathetic hearing.
