Title: Washing Machine Repair
Post by: Peej on April 09, 2016, 11:24:49 AM
Can anyone recommend a good washing machine engineer?
Ours is making a funny noise during the spin cycle.

I know people have previously recommended David Wood but I have rung him and it seems he no longer does repairs, any other recommendation gratefully received.

Shame about David Wood , I checked and you're right @Peej , they've stopped doing washing machine repairs.

I understand that Martin at Lightning Repairs does washing machines. I've used him for video equipment repairs before and he was excellent:

Have you had any joy finding someone to repair the washing machine.

These days it is cheaper to buy a new one than to try and get one repaired.

We use Stockport Domestic Appliances - 440 0757/ 439 6577. They will usually be able to give you a price in advance & a lot cheaper than a new machine.

These days it is cheaper to buy a new one than to try and get one repaired.

That's largely the reason why the likes of David Wood have stopped doing repairs.

When my washer died on me last year, I got a quote for a repair, but ended up getting a new one instead for only £30 more than the repairs would have cost.
