The annual St Martin's Christmas Tree Festival will be set up on Thursday 1st December and people will be able to view the trees as follows:
Before or after the concert on Friday evening 2nd December. The concert will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets are £6.00 each and this includes mulled wine, or a soft drink, and mince pies in the church hall after the concert. Some of the craft stalls may also be open on Friday evening so that you can do a bit of Christmas shopping.
On Saturday 3rd December the church will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and there will also be a craft fair in the church hall where refreshments will be on sale. Admission is by programme which costs £1.00 – accompanied children are admitted free of charge.
On Sunday 4th December the church will be open from 9:30 am for you to view the trees before the Mass and Toy Service which begins at 10:00 am; and will then remain open until 4:00 pm.
The Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress of Stockport will judge the trees on Saturday 3rd December at 12:00 noon. You are also invited to vote for your favourite tree. You can vote on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and the votes will be counted after the church closes on Sunday. Small prizes will be awarded for the winning trees.
