Please be advised that the Marple Bridge Association has submitted and application to Stockport Council to close Town Street, Marple Bridge, to vehicular traffic on 7th December from 11.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs for its annual Winter Wonderland Christmas Event.

Traffic will be diverted via Bonnington Rise, Hogarth Road, Constable Drive, Hollins Lane and Longhurst Lane.

Mill Brow, Mellor and New Mills will be accessible throughout the event and businesses in these areas are open as usual.

Stewards will be on duty on Town Street to assist pedestrians and the emergency services if required.

Please be advised that Town Street, Marple Bridge, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 11.00 hrs. - 17.00 hrs for the Marple Bridge Winter Wonderland Event on Saturday 7th decemeber 2019.

Diversions will be in place along Bonnington Rise, Hogath Road, Constable Drive, Hollins Lane and Longhurst Lane to allow access to Mill Brow, Mellor and New Mills. All businesses in these areas will be accessible and open as usual.

Marshals will be on duty to assist pedestrians and emergency services along Town street if needed.

Marple Bridge Winter Wonderland is Saturday 7 December - 1pm to 4pm on Town Street.

The Marple Bridge Association has been granted permission, by Stockport MBC,  to close Town Street, Marple Bridge on 7th December 2019 for its annual Winter Wonderland Event.

Town Street will be closed from 11.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs.

All vehicular traffic will be diverted around the closure via Bonnington Rise, Hogarth Road, Constable Drive and Hollins Lane. Stewards will be on duty along Town Street  to assist pedestrians and the emergency services if needed.

Businesses will be open as usual in Mill Brow, Mill Lane, Mellor and New Mills and access to these areas will be possible via the signposted diversion.
