St Martin's Church 150th Anniversary Mass [11 November 2020]

Did you know that St. Martins Low Marple will soon be 150 years old? The older part of the present church was consecrated on Friday 11 November 1870 (St Martin's Day).

The church had hoped to commemorate the occasion with various events, but sadly cannot now celebrate on the scale they had hoped. However, on Wednesday 11th November at 6.30pm there will be a Anniversary Mass (with choir). Numbers will be limited, in accordance with the Covid regulations which currently have to be observed.

Please book a place via the link if you wish to attend: https://www.stmartinsheritagetrust.org.uk/news-events/st-martins-church-150th-anniversary.html (https://www.stmartinsheritagetrust.org.uk/news-events/st-martins-church-150th-anniversary.html)

Event postponed:

St. Martin's Heritage Trust has advised:

St Martin's Church 150th Anniversary

The older part of the present church was consecrated on Friday 11 November 1870 (St Martin's Day).  We had hoped to commemorate the occasion with various events, but sadly we cannot now celebrate during lockdown.  The service which we had intended to hold on Wednesday 11th November at 6.30 pm will not now take place.  But we hope to find an opportunity for commemoration at some point in the remainder of our anniversary year.
