The Midland pub is due to reopen to the public on Friday 27th after being closed for refurbishment for some time. This is what the new management have to say about it:
"A Marple Bridge pub is hoping to become a Stockport dining landmark after investing heavily in a stunning new look and mouthwatering menu and opens to guests at a special preview evening on Thursday 26th April.
The Midland on Brabyne Brow in Marple Bridge is currently closed while it is given a complete new look, with guests soon to be greeted by a stylish new design along with an array of fresh dishes that have been developed over the last few months.
Manager Alasdair Logan believes the new look will put the Midland firmly on the eating out map when it reopens to the public on 27th April.
He said: "We are absolutely delighted with the plans for the Midland and believe it will be a place that people travel from all over the county to visit.
"We will be adding to the unique charm and character of the building and giving it some quirky touches, coupling respect for heritage with modern twists.
"The idea is to create a smart but informal pub where people know they will get great, friendly service and a relaxed, smoke free atmosphere - whether they are popping in to enjoy drinks or having a meal with us.
"We have also been developing a new menu to include freshly prepared classic pub dishes such as Slow Cooked Shoulder of Lamb, daily fresh fish dishes and Homemade Pie of the Day. "
Alasdair said: "Our aim is to provide a really friendly and well informed service - the new look of Midland will be great but it is the relationship between the staff and guests that will make us a success."
The Midland is hosting a special launch party on the evening of 26th April from 6pm onwards to showcase these stylish new changes to guests."
