Salmon and trout in Marple!

There was a large fish seen trying to get up the wier in Compstall Etherow Park last year around the same time you saw this.
There are plenty of rainbow and brown trout in our local rivers but salmon?......watch this space

Mrs NBT is rather excited, while out around Roman lakes she saw a few people by the weir watching the water very intently. Having gone over to see what held their interest she got talking and over the next few minutes saw Sea Trout and salmon jumping! If you've never seen Salmon jumping, it's a thrilling sight - I might take the camera down this weekend!
