Folk Train stop off at The Railway Hotel!
Marple Festival 2010 has a first!! This inaugural Folk Train – the 12.36 from Manchester Piccadilly to Rose Hill Marple, returning either 14.30 or 15.30 – has the Weavils onboard, playing hot brass and cool guitar. They will perform jazz, latin, calypso, blues and folk. What a way to travel! Once they reach Rose Hill, they will go to The Railway Hotel next door where the music continues.
Folk Trains take you on a musical journey as you travel – musicians play on the train, then everyone alights to visit a local hostelry and enjoy a further session from the band.
