Owner Dan Stringer has made a statement citing competition from Costa Coffee:

If you use the forum search facility you will find a number of other threads commenting on Toast before and after its demise. I will merge your query and this reply to one of them.

Anyone know why toast has disappeared? Always seemed to be very busy

Very sad to see Toast closing. We had many lovely brunches and evening meals there, and Dan and his team were excellent hosts. I hope they can find a new outlet for their talents.

Sadly despite it's success Toast Deli is closing on 24 August - their last evening service is tomorrow night. We'll miss it for sure.

Always thought it was popular and thriving.  Shows what I know.

A great place. Please encourage your friends and family to try its evening menu - we were in last night and it was practically empty despite its superb £24.50 deal for 3 delicious courses including wine. Fantastic quality and value.

Here's the link for those who want to read it - well done, Dan, and all the staff in Toast!
Yes indeed - I just wish it didn't have such depressing decor

Fabulous write up in the Manchester Evening News today for Toast Deli evening menu - well done all, great to see a Marple independant getting such positive praise.

It doesn't appear to be online or I would have posted a link
