I can recommend Mr Pomroy too, he has swept our chimneys for the past 4 or 5 years, always pleasant and helpful and has solved a wood burning stove flue for us too.

Thank you, Bowden Guy, that's also good to know. We're new to the area, so it's really useful to have personal recommendations like this. I think the Marple website/forum's brilliant for this kind of thing, as well as all the other topics it covers.  :)

I can also recommend Jonathan Pomroy who is based in Woodley - he has swept our chimneys for the past few years. His number is 494 2928.

Just had a visit from David Qualter, Home Fires and Fuels, Stockport Road, Marple, and was really pleased - very thorough and professional. He spent an hour and a half here sweeping, and trying to remove a blockage. He has given us sound, helpful advice, plus he will put us in touch with someone who can help us solve the various issues that arose. Would highly recommend his service. Thank you, David!
