We use the cattery that is off Longhurst Lane, just up from Marple Bridge village. The pens arent enormous but the owners are friendly and helpful.
The number is 427 1882

We've used Bowlers the last couple of times we have been away and the cats have come back clean and relaxed so I know they were well looked after.

I think the RSPCA also use them for overflow which gave me some comfort that the facilities were well kept

I can also recommend the Cat's Whiskers on Torkington Road. An excellent cattery.

I think the one near the garden centre is called Lodge Kennels/Cattery.  I did use this one for quite a few years and always found it very good.  The main reason was because it is owned or has a connection with the vet at Marple Vetinerary Practice which gave me  confidence if my elderly cat was ill for any reason.  My parents use the Cat's Whiskers on Torkington Bends.  I've picked my parents cat up from there on many occasions and I would also recommend that.  Very clean and nice staff.  Hope this helps.

I know of Bowlers and that there's one near the garden centre but wondered if anyone has experience of these and others?

I have two so they usually go  in together if the pens aren't too pokey.

Ours are used to Three Chimneys but it's a bit of a trek just for a night or two!

Can't leave them home to be fed by neighbour since the big tom in the locality is convinced he has the right to come in our cat flap and avail himself of our facilities  ::)
