On the photo of Strines Printworks the chap at 2nd left on the front row is the absolute spit of a boy who's on my class photos from Rose Hill CP in the 1950s. Perhaps his grandfather or uncle? Sadly I can't remember the name of the boy I was at school with.

I have been putting together a collection of ….I think fair to say historical  images based on towns and villages just a short distance from Marple. (Added one for Rowerth yesterday - that's not far).

Thought they might be of interest to anyone with roots just a little way up the road
