Arthur has taken some extremely colourful photos of the St Martin's Christmas Tree Festival during the Mayor's visit on Saturday and these have been added to the Christmas Album tonight along with a handful of others:

Delighted to receive a call from St Martin's last night advising that Friends of the Park's tree won the People's Choice vote over the weekend at St Martin's Christmas Tree Festival.

The Church is open from today (Monday 8th) until Saturday 20th December from 10.30am to 12.30pm for quiet time and visiting the church and trees.

St Martin's Christmas Tree festival was all set-up today and you will be able to view the trees at their concert on Friday evening (this is a ticketed event) or on Saturday 6th, when they will also hold a Craft Fair and Refreshments in the Church Hall. You can also view them on Sunday 7th December at the annual toy service. Monday viewing will be for schools and times can be arranged by the schools.
Trees will be judged by the Lord Mayor of Stockport and also The Peoples' Choice will be voted for on Saturday 6th December at 12:00noon. Prizes will be awarded.

The Church is also open from Monday 8th until Saturday 20th December from 10.30am to 12.30pm for quiet time and visiting the church and trees. At 12 noon there will usually be a short service of Midday Prayer.

Here's Friends of Marple Memorial Park's entry, the theme of which is the Great War:
