We popped in for the first time during the Marple Bridge street festival at the weekend and assuming you don’t mind casual service I would recommend it. I think it’s aimed more at a younger crowd, it’s all “Yeah safe, no probs” and “Here’s some kitchen roll” from the staff there, which I know some people would be put off by, but if you go here not expecting a la carte service you won’t be too disappointed as the food was delicious! I would say it doesn’t quite compare with Reds True BBQ in Manchester city, but let’s be honest what on this planet does? It’s still nice to have this place practically on the Marple doorstep.
One thing that does put me off a bit is the price of their beer... they have a brilliantly wide range but it is some of the most expensive beer I have seen anywhere. The Samual Adams costs £4 but that’s for an American style 2/3 pint glass, so works out at £6 a pint !!! *gasps for air*
Other than that, I’d thoroughly recommend a visit. Pparticularly if you have hungry young ones and a few spare bags of dosh.
