How about Marple Social & Forces Club?  It's been largely refurbished recently.

Alan's suggestions made me think of a couple more possibilities - I wonder if the guides hire out their new hall near to All Saints' School during the day? Also High Lane have a very nice new village hall: http://www.highlanevillagehall.co.uk/ with a large hall, small hall and a "stage area" that can be screened off with sliding partitions.

I read of your search for possible venues and made inquiries.
You might want to have a look at the "concert room" at the conservative club
on Church Lane Marple, nearly opposite the Ring O' Bells. This room can seat up to about 70
with comfortable chairs, available for daytime use. It is on the ground floor.

There is also the Shepley Hall which is upstairs in the same building.

And whilst mentioning the Ring O' Bells, you might want to consider hiring " The Bell " as  a floating venue
either static or incorporating a cruise.

I've moved this thread to the venues section as there is a list of venues within it, some of which may be suitable.

I am looking for possible business meeting rooms and training venues  in and around the area. Various rooms sizes would be useful from smaller rooms for just two people to larger ones. Any leads welcome, many thanks.
