Stockport Hydro Splashes Out!
Wednesday the 25th of March at 4pm: it's our first Environmental Challenge Fund 2015 awards ceremony at the Hydro.
The fund, established through the generation and sale of renewable energy, is contributing to a diverse range of projects: notice boards and signposts encouraging visitors to local trails and wildlife sites, amenities for a cafe, created as a welcoming space for people living on their own, vegetable and fruit growing schemes at schools and a women's hostel, bee-keeping project at a Country Park and equipment for a community greenspace for educational visits.
