This is a bit outside of Marple but the organisers live here so I hope it's OK.
There will be a Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning at the cafe at Hargate Hill Equestrian Centre, Charlesworth, on August Bank Holiday morning between 10am - 12 noon. There'll be coffee served in our best china cups and home-made cake to eat on site with your coffee (or tea) and there will be home-made cakes to buy to take home. We are hoping to make lots of dosh for this very worthwhile cause.
There's plenty to entertain you at the Centre. There is a pleasant walk through the grounds and on to the new(ish) bridle path and footpath which follows the route of the old railway line. (Dogs allowed but must be kept on a lead on the Centre's land.) There's also a mini horse show taking place at the Centre on the day and if you are a fisherman (or fisherwoman) you may like to recce the Centre's fishing lakes.
The Centre is on Glossop Road, next door to Glossop Rugby Club.
