Hi Steve,

There is actually a thread about this with all the dates for this year scheduled in the Monthly Events section:

Help for the Unemployed [Alternate Mondays at Connect: Queen Street]

Hi Mark

I wasn't aware of this but the more publicity the better.

Kind regards

Steve

Good morning

I have been speaking to a couple who are heavily involved with 'Way Ahead', an excellent initiative for people out of work or facing unemployment. Iain and Pam are very passionate about this project and I believe it is a welcome addition to groups we have in Marple. If you know of anyone in this situation but does not use this platform then please let them know of the help that is on offer.

I'm more than happy to support this and will be attending when I can.

Kind regards

Work Club Marple - assisting the unemployed get back to work.

Known as WAY AHEAD, the Work Club meets fortnightly at Connect on Queen Street, Marple between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month.
Computer and internet access are available.

Is it for me?

If you are unemployed or are facing job loss/redundancy we invite you along to get some practical support in updating your CV, finding jobs, making applications, preparing for interviews and accessing key websites on the internet.

What happens?

Sessions include discussions on topics such as interview/presentation skills and job search. There will be an opportunity to share experiences/problems as each individual explores opportunities to secure their future in a rapidly changing, and sometimes confusing, employment market.  Refreshments are provided.

How do I join ?

Just come along to a session and see if it is for you.

If you would like to have a chat first to find out more please give Iain or Pam Kirkpatrick a call on 07971209463

Please let anyone who is unemployed know about this group.
