Whilst this might be  the 7th year of this scheme there have been more than 7 yrs worth of cuts in local authorities funding. Don't scheme such as this mask the fact that we need decent levels  of LA funding and decent (higher) levels of taxation. Whilst put their hand in their pockets like this cuts will continue, if we want really good local facilities we have to pay for them.

Better a yellow jacket on the streets than a yellow jacket doing voluntary work in the park. 😘

Grow Your Tenner 2018: Turn £120 into over £200 for Friends of Marple Memorial Park



From 10am today you can set-up a regular donation of £10 per month to Friends of Marple Memorial  for 12 months and your money will be doubled for the last 6 months of the period. Including Gift-Aid if you are a UK Tax Payer, this will turn your donations of £120 over 12 months into over £200 for Friends of the Park!

To do this you must set up a "Give Monthly" Direct Debit Payment to Friends of Marple Memorial Park via Local Giving AFTER 10am today.

Start date and time: 10am on Tuesday 11th of December 2018. Please note that donations made before 10am will not be matched.

End date and time: Whenever the match fund runs out or midday on Thursday the 10th January 2018 (whichever comes first).

Matching conditions: Monthly donations set up during the campaign will be matched by up to £10. The matching will take place after the first 6 donations, and be applied to the following 6 donations.

Please note that monthly donations continue unless cancelled by the donor. It is the responsibility of the donor to cancel their Direct Debit mandate should they wish to do so.



More detail:

This year Local Giving are putting a particular emphasis on encouraging people to become long term supporters of their local charities. With this in mind, they will match monthly donations for a full 6 months for donors who set up a direct debit to a Localgiving member for a year. They have a match fund pot of £100,000 and all Localgiving members are eligible to take part.

This is the seventh consecutive year of Grow Your Tenner. Since 2012 Grow Your Tenner has raised close to £7 million for local charities and community groups across the UK.
