Public Question and ePetition on plans for reopening Memorial Park toiletsFollowing concerns about the toilets in Marple Memorial Park still being closed highlighted by members of the public directly and via social media, the Friends of Marple Memorial Park have submitted a public question to Marple Area Committee tomorrow night and started an ePetition on the Council's own web site.
The question:We understand why the toilets in Marple Memorial Park have been closed during the Covid19 pandemic but we are concerned that the council will use this as an excuse to never reopen them again. We have witnessed parents taking their young children to urinate in the bushes and on the grass outside the busy play area and we sympathise with this - there are no other options for them at the moment. We believe it is crucial that there is a plan for getting them open again. What are the council's plans for reopening the park toilets and what is the timescale for this?
The ePetition:Please sign and share the ePetition if you agree that a plan needs to be put in place to get the toilets reopened as soon as possible.
