I have a strange feeling they aren't looking for a build you're own chicken, like a poultry version of build a bear with sage stuffing.

Can anyone recommend a good place to buy three or four chickens?

Without getting into the debate about hen vs chicken wordage, there is a listing on Gumtree for hens.

They are probably ex battery hens, but they will still lay regularly and will no doubt be great at eating garden pests and bugs.

We've tried to contact Aherns three times but no response.  Does anyone know if you can just tip up unannounced?  Any other recommendations?

I've seen those on Facebook.  Good to have a recommendation.  Thank you!
