The Marple Website has made small donations (from banner advert income) of £40 to Mellor Archaeological Trust and £40 to Friends of Our Valley = £80 in celebration of Ann Hearle's 80th birthday last week. Ann didn't want any birthday presents so it seemed right to support a couple of causes close to her heart instead after many years of working on all kinds of local history related projects together, including the Iron Bridge Restoration.
