Good afternoon. A couple of local meetings to update you on:
Train service cuts-after several days of speaking to Rail managers regarding cuts to local services, they have agreed to meet on Monday and discuss the matter. Whilst I remain cauitious about the potential success of the meeting I will do all I can to bring back much needed services, especially around peak times.
Police meeting-I have received contact from the new Chief Superintendent of Stockport and an invitation to discuss local Policing matters and highlight some local issues that make us as a community believe more protection is needed. The meeting is due to take place either next week or early the week after. I stated some time ago that I will be pushing for increased policing where we live and this will continue.
For both of these meetings I will report back with any findings or outcomes. I will do my absolute best to get what we as residents deserve with both meetings.
