Come and find out about some of these local men by joining one of our Poppy Walks, hosted by the brilliant Andy Cook.
There are 2 leisurely walks around Marple visiting some of the houses where the men lived and exploring the devastating effects WW1 had on the Marple community.
The walks are interesting and informative but done in a very relaxed way.
Walk A Sun 2nd and 16th October.
Walk B Sun 9th and 30th October.
Starting from Marple Memorial Park at 11am on the 2nd and 12noon for the remainder.
There is no charge for the walks but there will be an opportunity to show your appreciation by making a donation to the Marple Poppy Appeal if you so desire.
