There will be a Memorial Lantern Walk on Saturday 09th DecemberEveryone who has lost a loved one will feel even more pain at this time of the year. Here is a chance to take a walk or just join the group for a short service in the peace garden.
Afterwards tea, coffee, hot chocolate and Mulled Wine will be served at The Norfolk Arms, Marple Bridge.
- The walk will start at Mellor Cross.
- Come down to Longhurst Lane where you can meet us at The Devonshire Arms Mellor
- Onward to The Royal Oak Mellor
- Down through The Roman Lakes.
- Out onto Town Street and along to The Peace Garden.
You can join the walk at any point along the way or just meet at the end.
We have had more than our fair share of tragedy on Town Street this year and we know we, unfortunately not alone.
Please feel free to bring a token of your love, a tribute, maybe in the form of a decoration to hang on the tree after the service. Together we can remember our precious people that no longer stand by our side.
