I'm pleased to advise that Marple Blasting Services' "honorary" status as a web site sponsor has been extended for another year thanks to their fantastic help with Marple Skatepark!

Several people have mentioned that it would be great to have some seats near the new skatepark. We're pleased to advise that we did rescue 3 steel benches from the site during construction and these have now been blast cleaned, primed and under-coated for us free of charge by Marple Blasting Services at Wood Farm. We now have to gloss paint and install them. So bare with us as we're doing that with volunteers, but hopefully won't be too long before spectators are sitting comfortably!

Here's the stone collected and sandblasted for Friends of the Park by Marple Blasting Services and delivered today.

Once again, I'd like to say thank you to Marple Blasting for saving us £120+VAT on transport plus free sandblasting too.

As already mentioned, the stone is for a new project in the park. We are collaberating with Marple Local History Society on this and will tell you more soon.

Marple Blasting Services has been added as an "honorary" web site sponsor free of charge as a thank you for collecting a stone from the ECO Centre in Adswood for Friends of Marple Memorial Park that is to be used in the park on a new project. This has saved the group having to pay the £120 delivery charge quoted by Solutions SK. The added bonus is that the stone will be blast cleaned for us too!
