Mellor Football Club is celebrating its Centenary year with a special party.Former players and officials are welcome to attend at the British Legion Club in Marple on October 28, starting at 7.00pm

The club was founded in 1923 by Arthur Hambleton.
Mellor has played on a number of grounds over the years including Gibb Lane, Mellor and behind The George in nearby Compstall.
Its base is now at Wood Lane, Marple.
Mellor joined the Lancashire and Cheshire League in 1962 and has won a host of trophies, especially in the 1980s and in the past 15 years.
It currently runs three senior teams, a Vets team and a women’s team.

“Mellor FC has been an important part of the community in the Mellor, Marple, Romiley and Bredbury areas for many years.
