their recent menu which says that they now do pizzas

Actually, I just went past and the menu board inside says they sell PIZZA'S. I wonder how this is different from PIZZAS and to whom they belong?

Interesting development - I guess it could be seen as a variant of another 'crossover' (long established)  whereby some Chinese takeways also do fish and chips.  In my experience such places don't do either very well, and I reckon a safe rule of thumb is only to get fish and chips from somewhere that doesn't do Chinese takeaways, and vice versa.

My usual Indian takeaway in Marple is the Empress of India however I was a bit dismayed to get their recent menu which says that they now do pizzas (a crossover too far! ).  Haven't had a takeaway for a while from there for a while.  Anybody been recently - has the standard of Indian food dropped?
