Today letters were sent home from Rose Hill School, advising that yesterday at approximately 6pm a thirteen year old girl was approached on Edwards Way, Marple, by a man wearing a black balaclava who attempted to get her into the car.
The car is believed to be a black Golf or Polo. The child got away unharmed, although obviously extremely upset. Parents have been asked to make their children aware of stranger danger. Also it may be advisable for children not to walk home on their own wherever possible.
